EDA Records Joins ClassicsOnline
The German label EDA Records brings to ClassicsOnline some less familiar and fascinating repertoire, such as Hans Krása’s Brundibár (an opera for children), the complete string quartets of Boris Blacher (played by the Petersen Quartett) and orchestral works by Goldschmidt, Gerhard, Weill and others.

Cantate Joins ClassicsOnline
Dating back to the 1950s, the German label Cantate was begun by the owner of the Tonkunstverlag in Darmstadt and later fell under the same ownership as Musicaphon – a label also begun by a music publisher (Bärenreiter). Focusing especially on sacred music, Cantate’s catalogue includes Bruckner’s Mass in E minor (conducted by Helmut Rilling), cantatas by Buxtehude and the complete organ works of Hugo Distler.

Divine Art, RP Music and DanSing Music
From its first cassette recording in 1992, made in a Northumberland village church by founder Stephen Sutton, Divine Art has grown to become a highly respected classical record label. Recordings range from Baroque to avant-garde, covering instrumental, vocal, chamber and orchestral music. Divine Art has acquired the labels Athene and Métier, and also distributes the smaller independent labels Calico Classics, DanSing Music, Pilgrim’s Star and Opera Omnia – all of which we welcome to ClassicsOnline.
RP Music is distributed by Divine Art and represents a private release by pianist Peter Katin to celebrate 50 years of performing.
DanSing Music is distributed by Divine Art and is a specialist label for the music of Dan Evans - singer, guitarist and composer, and leading exponent of the Appalachian Dulcimer.

Diversions, Athene and Opera Omnia
Diversions is a sub-label of Divine Art, with re-releases of general classical recordings, operetta and ‘lighter’ music, as well as some new recordings. It carries a number of rare and previously unrecorded works. Athene is part of Divine Art and offers recordings of period instruments, especially the square piano of the late 18th and early 19th centuries. Opera Omnia is distributed by Divine Art and contains a special charity CD, with some fine choral singing, made as a tribute to the late Pope John Paul II.
