Founded in 1946 by Sir Thomas Beecham, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra continues his legacy, offering world-class performances of the greatest music both throughout the UK and abroad – not only live but now through the RPO record label. Works released include core repertoire (Schumann symphonies, Beethoven piano concertos etc.) as well as lighter and more quirky additions such as The Best of Bond and Symphonic Rock.
