Young Parisian pianist Lise de la Salle has dazzled audiences throughout Europe, North America and Japan. Her talent was spotted at an early age, but it is her desire to communicate through her instrument, and her search for the essential truth of each piece that has catapulted her to international stardom.
'These days, it seems that every young virtuoso has spectacular technical ability, but this player has something considerably more: original, thoughtful interpretive talent that is alive to all the nuances of the score and is never content with merely playing the notes.' The Seattle Times
Her first recording with works by Ravel and Rachmaninov received critical acclaim and marked the beginning of her collaboration with the label Naïve Classique, for which she exclusively records since 2002. Her second recording of works by Bach and Liszt was selected Gramophone Recording of the Month (awarded in August 2005 the "Editor's Choice" by GRAMOPHONE, the world's premiere classical music magazine). Her new recording of Chopin matches her talent perfectly to the repertoire and is certain to collect more accolades.
