Starting today, the world of classical music downloads will never be the same again. Classicsonline is a dedicated classical music download service offering a wide range of classical music, accessible by sophisticated search engines optimized for classical music. It is intended to become a one-stop destination where music lovers can find virtually every piece of classical music ever recorded. The site will also offer news and information about the classical music industry and its important players. It also has a good selection of classic jazz, blues and folk recordings [not available in the United States] as well as a representative collection of world music.
Classicsonline will not only offer a wide range of classical music but will also provide guidance to non-specialist music lover and serious collectors alike.
The recordings available on Classicsonline are drawn from the catalogs of leading independent classical labels such as BIS, Celestial Harmonies, Chandos, Collegium, Coro, Haenssler, Hungaroton, Marco Polo, Naxos, Profil, Swedish Society, Vanguard, Wergo and others. More labels will be added regularly and we expect more than 1000 new titles to become available every month.
Classicsonline will provide music lovers DRM-free downloads in 192K MP3. Classicsonline will also offer entertaining and educational information about classical music and the artists and composers who contribute towards the continuing popularity of the genre.
