Louis Lortie's latest release builds upon the excitement created with his complete Années de pèlerinage and continues his critically acclaimed exploration of piano works by Franz Liszt. This album contains opera transcriptions, paraphrases and fantasies on themes from operas such as Wagner's Tannhauser Overture, Verdi's Rigoletto, and Mozart's Don Giovanni.
