Just out on the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra's own ASO Media label is an all Sibelius program featuring the Symphony No. 6 in D minor, Symphony No. 7 in C major and Tapiola. The ASO Media label is one of the legacies of the 13-year tenure of music director Robert Spano, and previous releases have included world premiere recordings and commissioned works, garnering enthusiastic reviews.

This world premiere recording by the Quartetto di Venezia captures important developments in string quartet music that emerged in Italy in the late 19th Century. Alfredo Casella's Concerto, Op. 40b (1923) quickly became an international success and Guido Turchi's Concerto breve is another significant contribution to Italian string quartet repertoire.
