Dear ClassicsOnline customer,

This week we highlight 4 new releases of particular interest. The first release collects early music inspired by the legend of King Arthur, a text that fired the 14th century imagination just as it does ours today. Next, the supremely talented vocal ensemble Singer Pur deliver their first pop album featuring the music of Sting. A compendium of Schönberg compositions for voice and piano, and an arrangement of Stravinsky's Rite of Spring for jazz ensemble round out the offering. We hope you will sample these new releases and add to your collection.

Sincerely,
The ClassicsOnline Team

Tristan's Harp (The) (Arthurian Medieval Music) (Capilla Antigua de Chinchilla, Ferrero)
Naxos: 8.572784

The legend of King Arthur continues to hold our attention well into the 21st Century. This recording demonstrates that these stories held the same fascination for our distant ancestors in the 12th, 13th and 14th centuries. Composers include Richard the Lionheart, whose Je nulls homs priz is one of the most beautiful of all medieval songs.
