Celebrated French pianist Jean-Efflam Bavouzet continues his complete chronological survey of Beethoven's piano sonatas. This 3-disc set spans Op. 22 to Op. 53, the great 'Waldstein' Sonata. Praise for the first volume was virtually unanimous, with Fanfare stating "his readings will withstand the test of time." The third volume, scheduled for 2014, will complete the project.
