American composer and conductor Robert Ian Winstin wrote more than 200 works, including 5 symphonies, 2 piano concerti, a ‘cello concerto, two violin concerti, and many chamber and solo instrumental works. Maestro Winstin was the Principal Guest Conductor & Composer in Residence of the legendary Kiev Philharmonic, Recording Conductor of the Prague Radio Symphony and Music Director & Founder of the Millennium Symphony.
Called the “Ambassador of New Music” by United States Senator John Warner (VA), his work as a conductor of new works has earned him many awards and cemented his reputation as a champion of contemporary composers. Robert Ian Winstin's recording of his “Oedipus Requiem” marks his 50th recording of not only his own works but the new works of colleagues.
