While exploring ideas for an Opera, Mr. Lindberg decided to compose to Latin texts 'because of their remoteness.' The result is Graffiti, based on wall writings from the city of Pompeii. According to Lindberg, 'To sum the piece up it’s about huge contrasts, with clashes of mood and expression, and a dynamic dialogue between text and music.'
