Fabrice Gregorutti


Conductor-composer Fabrice Gregorutti was a student of Jacques Castérède at the Paris Conservatoire from 1981 to 1985, where he obtained a premier prix in musical analysis; he also studied harmony with Jeanine Rueff and conducting with Jean-Sébastien Béreau. From 1991 to 1994, he continued training as a conductor at the Moscow Conservatory with Leonid Nikolayev. From 1996 to 1999 he was director of the conservatory and orchestra of Caen. Keenly interested in the music of our time, he was also, during that period, artistic director of the contemporary music festival Aspects des musiques d’ aujourd’ hui. Since January 2000 he has occupied the post of inspector of music for the city of Paris’s Department of Cultural Affairs. Musical director of the choir of La Trinité in Paris from 2003 to 2010, in March 2011 he founded the Olivier Messiaen Chamber Choir of La Trinité. In 2005 he received the Olivier Messiaen Prize of the Académie du Disque Lyrique for the recording of Fauré’s Requiem and Jacques Castérède’s Trois visions de l Apocalypse. Fabrice Gregorutti is regularly invited to conduct in Russia and Ukraine.
