An arranger, conductor, pianist and composer of amazing versatility, John Williams studied the piano at the Juilliard School with Rosa Lhévinne and composition in Los Angeles with Castelnuovo-Tedesco and Arthur Olaf Andersen. His prolific career has brought music for television and for some of the most successful feature films. He has collaborated with Steven Spielberg and other leading directors, and has received a remarkable number of Academy and Grammy awards and nominations. He has also written music for the concert hall, including a symphony and a number of concertos.
