Remembered in Britain as composer of the Warsaw Concerto for the film Dangerous Moonlight and as accompanist to Joyce Grenfell, Richard Addinsell studied music in Berlin and Vienna and later enjoyed a career as a composer chiefly for the theatre and the cinema.
