User's Review: Old English Nursery Rhymes A super little gem of an album... the voices are clear and crisp, making it easy to listen to both for adults, and, more importantly, for children. The musical content is restrained such that the vocal content is never masked, and the overall balance is lovely. It is highly enjoyable being able to listen to these cultural 'icons' all through... most of my recollections of nursery rhymes are cursory... one or possibly two verses at most. It would have been good to have a text file of the words so that parents could learn them easily... also it would enable one to have a better go at thinking through the historicity of the words. But all in all, Saydisc reputation for gems has been enhanced yet again. |
