In 1984 Music Director Jeffrey S. Hunt founded the St. Charles Singers as a chamber choir of 28 to 36 voices. The choir has a performance history of nearly seven hundred works ranging from Baroque oratorios, Passions and Masses of Mozart and Haydn to a cappella works from the Renaissance to the 21st century. Since 2000, the St Charles Singers have toured extensively in Europe. They frequently collaborate with the Elgin Symphony Orchestra performing Baroque, Classical and twentieth-century repertory.
