The choir of Cracow Radio and Television was formed in 1948 by Jerzy Gert, director and artistic supervisor of the orchestra, and is now trained by Malgorzata Orawska. With a wide and varied repertoire, the choir has made many important recordings for Polish Radio and Television and companies at home and abroad, including performances of music by contemporary composers such as Penderecki, Gorecki and Wojciech Kilar. Concert tours have taken the choir to performances in the most famous concert-halls of Europe and to appearances in major festivals.
