Review By John von Rhein ,Chicago Tribune,June 2005

The nine chamber and small orchestra works on this Naxos disc (a reissue of a 1991 Musical Heritage Society release) date from the beginning and end of Nancarrow's career. . . . I found these pieces so engaging and the performances by Continuum so expertly made that I wanted to play this disc over and over. I think you'll be just as exhilarated by what you hear. Here's another essential entry in Naxos' valuable American Classics series.
