However on Naxos Mark Obert-Thorn has made one of his miraculous transformations of the sound, somehow adding lustre and body to the strings, and without losing vividness of wind a cued synopsis, costs less than the Decca, and is much preferable. It certainly demonstrates what a great conductor Krauss was.
