The Menuhins recorded the G major Sonata in Australia in 1940 and it radiates the serenity and happiness that the two artists were experiencing then. The D minor was from 1936 and was recorded in London. Spontaneous and lyrical playing that continues to astonish. Impeccable transfers and sound restoration from Ward Marston.
