Opera Arias (Baritone) Dmitri Hvorostosky
This ambitions album of the baritone repertoire is really exciting. I was impressed with it masterful interpretation so many different arias and scenes in four languages ( Russian to German, Italian and French Operas). The uncommonly tone voice of Hvorostovsky has become more rich and dramatic; its top-notes, legato line and singing seems to me increasingly magnificent. In recent years, Dmitri Hvorostovsky was one of the best baritone voices in the world and his reign continues. more....

Touché Hvorostovsky!
Dmitri Hvorostovsky sings beautifully baritone and 'Heroes and Villains' captures that beautiful singing with grace and style. Each and every song on the album is a pleasure to listen to. I was particularly delighted because I love listening to Hvorostovsky, but could never seem to get enough of him in one place, an opera piece here a classical piece there, but H&V delivers a joyous, well-orchestrated (pun intended) and unwavering baritone bonanza. My favourite selection has to be 'Avant de quitter ces lieux' from Faust, sung with passion and melody. The Russia Spiritual Revival Choir complements the choral arrangements in several pieces including the rousing Toreador's song from Carmen. All-in-all a real gem added to my musical treasure trove next to Bryn Terfel and Thomas Hampson.more....
