Delicious rendition  

I listened to several tracks of this delightful collection of the Haydn symphonies three times a day on Naxos, before downloading it from ClassicsOnline. They gave me such joy that I immediately downloaded the recording. The provision of the pdf text booklet is a real plus.

I let it play repeatedly from iTunes on my Mac. Seldom does one hear a period performance that has such evident style which captures so perfectly the mood of these wonderful works. The string bass obligation in two of the Trio section is clear, elegant (and humorous), as well as technically and tonally perfect. I hope this delightful Polish chamber orchestra Jaroslaw Thiel gives use more of these early Haydn symphonies soon.
