Good Start, but didn’t live up to its potential
The instrumentation of this group attracted me to the album. I only heard the first two pieces during the first time I listened, and I really liked the opening avant-garde/speaking introduction in I am Not and was fulfilled in my expectation of beautiful ensemble, modern music with Kaymaster. Unfortunately, the rest of the album dwelt on the Avant-Garde aspect, and became so disjointed and discordant by the end that I was no longer enjoying it. I think this group has a lot of potential, but needs to focus on real musicality, which can certainly be achieved even while maintaining a modern viewpoint.more....
