After attending Scripps College on scholarship, she was selected to become a student of Jascha Heifetz in his master class at the University of Southern California. Later she worked with Heifetz as both his assistant and in chamber music performances together with Gregor Piatigorsky. She performs regularly at the Sitka Summer Music Festival in Alaska and the Amsterdam Chamber Music Festival, and has appeared as a soloist with major Japanese orchestras, the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, the Chamber Symphony of San Francisco, the Orchestra of the Lyon Opera, the Berkeley Symphony and many others.
