Yngve Andre Soberg

The Norwegian baritone Yngve Søberg studied at the Norwegian Academy of Music and the Royal Danish Academy of Opera with Susanna Eken. In March 2012 he became a permanent member of the soloist ensemble at the Norwegian Opera. His most important rôles in Oslo include Figaro in Le nozze di Figaro, Marcello in La Bohème, Amonasro in Aida, Sharpless in Madama Butterfly and Germont in La Traviata. He is also a frequent guest with all the major orchestras and festivals in Norway. He has been awarded the Norwegian Operas Friends’ Award and the prestigious Tom Wilhelmsen’s Award, both in 2012.
