The Korean Soprano Yeree Suh made her début with René Jacobs at the Innsbrucker Festwochen as Ninfa in Monteverdi’s Orfeo in 2003. Since then she has established herself internationally as one of the most versatile and sought after singers in baroque repertoire and contemporary music. A prolific baroque concert performer, she has collaborated with Andrea Marcon, Sigiswald Kuijken, Philippe Herreweghe, Ton Koopman, Masaaki Suzuki, Andreas Spering, Frieder Bernius and Jean-Christoph Spinosi. Particularly renowned for her exceptional interpretation of contemporary music, she sang in the European première of Matthias Pintscher’s with lilies white with Kent Nagano, Isang Yun’s Teile Dich Nacht with the Ensemble Modern and Sian Edwards, Tinoco’s Search Songs with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Donatoni’s Flans with the Nieuw Ensemble at the Venice Biennale, and Wolfgang Rihm’s Ariadne Monologue with André de Ridder in Basel. Other performances have included Pierre Boulez’s Pli selon Pli, the world première of Torsten Rasch’s Le Serpent Rouge, Unsuk Chin’s Akrostichon-Wortspiel and George Benjamin’s A Mind of Winter. She has also appeared with the London Sinfonietta and Baldur Brönnimann at Settembre Musica and with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra conducted by Ivan Volkov.
