Stefano Secco

Stefano Secco began his studies of piano and singing under the guidance of M° Alberto Soresina and subsequently received a diploma in percussion with M° Tullio De Piscopo. Secco privately followed Maestri like Franco Corelli, Franca Mattiucci, and attended master-classes led by Leyla Gencer and Renata Scotto, among others.

After his first professional experiences and various tours in Italy and abroad, he sang the rôle of Fenton in Falstaff at the “Teatro Verdi” of Sassari and was immediately engaged at the “Teatro dell’Opera” in Rome as a soloist tenor for the Messa di Gloria of Puccini and the Te Deum of Berlioz. In the same theatre, he sang the rôle of Rodolfo in a successful production of La Bohème.

Following these performances, Secco was soon cast to sing in Rigoletto (Duca of Mantova) at the “Teatro Regio” of Turin, at the “Wiener Staatsoper”, at the theatre of Toulouse, at the Frankfurt theatre, at the Massimo theatre of Palermo, Venezia, Baltimore, in Coruna, at the Arena of Avenches, Stockholm and in the near future at the “Opera Bastille” in Paris.

Secco has also performed La Bohéme (Rodolfo) at the “Teatro Regio” of Parma, “Teatro dell’Opera” in Rome, “Opera Bastille” in Paris, at the Puccini Festival in Torre Del Lago and together with Angela Gheorghiu in occasion of a Galá in Wiesbaden.
