Signe Madsen made her debut from the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Aarhus, where she had been taught by Professor Tutter Givskov, in 1992. She also studied with Professor David Takeno in London, and with Almita and Roland Vamos in the USA. She was group leader in the Aarhus Symphony Orchestra from 1989, and since February 1999 she has been first violinist in the Odense Symphony Orchestra. Signe Madsen is in great demand as a chamber musician, and her repertoire ranges from Baroque to the latest contemporary music. She is the Principal Violinist of the Aarhus Sinfonietta and a member of the string quartet MIRA.
