As a tenor soloist, Richard Edgar-Wilson has collaborated with many of the world’s finest conductors including Herreweghe, Hickox, Mackerras, Marriner, Minkowski, Norrington, Pinnock and Tate and has sung with orchestras including the London Philharmonic, Philharmonia, Les Musiciens du Louvre, the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment and Le Concert Spirituel. He is well known on the concert platform both as a Bach Evangelist and as an interpreter of the music of Benjamin Britten, whose operas he has also sung at English National Opera, La Monnaie and La Scala. In recital he has performed with Roger Vignoles, Julius Drake and Malcolm Martineau, and he has a considerable discography including Messiah, Die Schöne Müllerin, On Wenlock Edge, Artaxerxes and San Giovanni Battista (winner of a Gramophone award).
