Natalya Kraevsky

The soprano Natalya Kraevsky (Sweetheart) was born in Russia, and began singing major rôles at the National St Petersburg Opera Theatre soon after receiving her diploma from the St Petersburg Conservatory. She appeared as Violetta in La Traviata, Adele in Die Fledermaus, and Dorina in Tartuffe, and during this time was also a popular hostess on a national television programme that showcased rising young artists. Natalya Kraevsky studied in Italy under a scholarship with the Ezio Pinza Council (EPCASO), and graduated from the Artist Diploma program at Carnegie Mellon. Her performances of the Verdi Requiem as part of the Mikkeli Festival in Finland received rave notices in the press. Other rôles have included Desdemona in Otello, Gabriel in Haydn’s Creation, the title rôle in Janácèk’s The Cunning Little Vixen, and Poulenc’s La voix humaine.
