Massimo Lombardi


Massimo Lombardi studied vocal technique with Magda Koczka and participated in singing masterclasses with Jill Feldman, Katalin Halmai, Jan van Elsacker and Dirk Snellings. He also attended courses with Simen van Mechelen, Wim Becu and Sigiswald Kuijken. He studied classical guitar with Maurizio Colonna, graduating in 2010 at the Conservatorio di Torino, where he is now a student of composition with Alessandro Ruo Rui. He has worked with Ars Cantica Choir, Coro Filarmonico Ruggero Maghini, Collegio Musicale Italiano, under the baton of Helmuth Rilling, Christopher Hogwood, Gianandrea Noseda, Alessandro de Marchi, Aldo Ceccato, Juanjo Mena, Attilio Cremonesi, Martina Batič, Filippo Maria Bressan, Adriano Gaglianello.  In 2012 he sang the Evangelist in Bach’s St Matthew Passion and was a soloist at Europa Cantat XVIII, in Handel’s Dettingen Te Deum and Haydn’s Stabat Mater. He is founder and director of the Ensemble Euridice, dedicated to the rediscovery of forgotten seventeenth-century Italian music.
