Born in Brescia, the soprano Mara D'Antini studied at the Conservatory of Bari, obtaining her singing diploma under the guidance of N. Ciliento. At the same time she carried out linguistic studies at the University of Bari, and obtained a Master’s degree in operatic and Lieder technique and interpretation at the Conservatory of Foggia. At the beginning of her career, singing in a choir, she performed in the presence of Pope John Paul II; she was also a member of the Arpeggione and Orffea ensembles of Bari. She has appeared in a series of concerts held in the cities of Puglia, and sings as a soloist with the European Lyric Academy conducted by N. Ciliento. She has sung in Donizetti's Poliuto (Paolina), Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro (the Countess) and Così fan tutte (Fiordiligi), Bellini's Norma, and Verdi's Il trovatore, Aida and Un ballo in maschera.
