Update me on new releases by Schubert

Lawrence Schubert

American pianist Lawrence Schubert has performed in London at the Purcell Room and Wigmore Hall, in New York in two recitals at Town Hall and two at the Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, and in Venezuela as soloist with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Maracaibo. He has been heard at the National Gallery of Art in Washington D.C., and his performance of Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No. 2 with the South Carolina Philharmonic was broadcast nationwide. His frequent appearances in the eastern United States have included recitals, chamber music, and concertos in performances for colleges, concert halls, libraries, museums, musical organizations, and radio broadcasts. On his native Long Island, Lawrence Schubert has given 125 solo recitals, including eleven multi-media lecture-recitals at the Vanderbilt Museum Planetarium. He has long been an ardent proponent of the solo works of Ernő Dohnányi, and is one of few pianists to have performed an all-Hindemith recital. A physical problem with his hands led Lawrence Schubert to retire from concert appearances in June 1997, but he continues to pursue his lifelong passion for quality music education. His extensive roster of private students includes performing concert pianists and aspiring pianists. He also teaches on the faculty at the Nassau BOCES Cultural Arts Center in Syosset, Long Island, where his text Introduction to Harmony is used for his classes. Lawrence Schubert is a Baldwin artist.
