Violist lgor Fedotov, a native of Russia, is Professor of Music at Western Michigan University, where he teaches viola and coordinates and coaches string chamber music. He has performed solo recitals throughout the United States and abroad, including performances at the International Viola Congresses of 1996, 1997, 2000 and the 2005 International Bass Convention on Duo Recital with former principal bassist of the London Symphony Orchestra, Thomas Martin. As a chamber musician he has performed with such internationally renowned musicians as cellists Anner Bylsma and Ivan Monighetti, Sally Chisholm, violist of Pro Arte Quartet, Charles Pickler, principal violist of the Chicago Symphony, Martin Lovett, cellist from the Amadeus Quartet and others. He has appeared as performer and teacher at festivals throughout the United States and Europe including the Académies Internationales du Grand Nancy and Bordeaux, Musiques en Mer in Italy, the Swedish Musikdagar and Sewanee and Meadowmount Summer Schools in the United States. In addition he serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Stulberg International String Competition.
