Update me on new releases by Parkes

Henry Parkes

Henry Parkes read Music at Oxford University, where he was Organ Scholar at Christ Church Cathedral. After graduating with a first class Honours degree, he moved to Cambridge, where he is currently pursuing doctoral research on medieval music and liturgy. In his spare time he enjoys a varied freelance performing career, including work with major London orchestras, choral societies and professional choirs. At weekends he works as Associate Director of Music at the great Butterfield church of All Saints, Margaret Street. His association with Commotio goes back some five years, during which time he has conducted, accompanied and sung with the choir, and his performance as organist on Towards the Light in 2005 received critical acclaim. He is a Limpus Prize-winning Fellow of the Royal College of Organists, and holds a Silver Medal of the Worshipful Company of Musicians.
