Update me on new releases by Djeddikar

Hedayet Djeddikar

Hedayet Djeddikar was born in Basel and grew up in Bonn. He had early piano lessons, followed by lessons in violin, recorder and oboe. With the encouragement of the pianist Rosemarie Zartner, he studied piano at the Frankfurt Musikhochschule and, inspired by his lessons with Charles Spencer, decided to take up post-graduate studies of Lied interpretation under Rainer Hoffmann and Eugen Wangler. He gained further insight in master-classes and as a guest student of Irwin Gage, Hartmut Höll, Wolfram Rieger, Axel Bauni, Ulf Bästlein and Thomas Quasthoff among others. He has received awards at various Lied competitions, including first prize at the Paula Salomon-Lindberg Competition, as part of a duo at the Schubert Competition, and received scholarships from the FAZit-Foundation and the Sparkasse-Foundation. Since 2003 he has been the official accompanist at the Johannes Brahms Competition and is currently teaching at the Frankfurt Musikhochschule. He has also featured in recordings with radio stations including Bavarian Radio, SWR and ORF.
