Guido Paevatalu made his début in 1982 at the Royal Theatre, Copenhagen. Since then he has sung Mozart rôles such as the Count in the Marriage of Figaro, Guglielmo in Così fan tutte, the title rôle in Don Giovanni and Papageno in the Magic Flute; Italian rôles such as Posa in Verdi’s Don Carlos, Germont in Verdi’s La Traviata, Silvio in Leoncavallo’s I Pagliacci, Sharpless in Puccini’s Madame Butterfly, Figaro in Rossini’s Barber of Seville and Ford in Verdi’s Falstaff; Wagner rôles like Wolfram in Tannhäuser and Beckmesser in Die Meistersinger, as well as rôles in operas by Tchaikovsky, Mussorgsky, Richard Strauss and Britten. Guido Paevatalu has appeared in several productions for DR-TV, including Carl Nielsen’s Masquerade, Heise’s King and Marshal and Johann Strauss’s Die Fledermaus. At the Danish National Opera in Aarhus he has sung Dandini in Rossini’s La Cenerentola, and he has given concerts with a wide range of orchestras in Denmark as well as in Sweden, Norway, Finland, Iceland, Estonia, Russia, Austria, Holland, France, Hungary and Germany. He has sung at the Mozart Festival in Vienna, at Savonlinna in Finland, at the Bergen Festival, in Leipzig and Munich and at Opera Ireland. He has recorded several CDs including Mussorgsky’s Boris Godunov with Dmitry Kitaenko, Kunzen’s Holger Danske with Thomas Dausgaard,
