After vocal training at the Cherubini Conservatory in Florence, Giovanni Pentasuglia turned his concentration to the interpretation of Renaissance and Baroque repertoire and to the performance of Lieder. Successful in a number of national and international competitions, he has appeared in a number of major festivals throughout Europe, in particular as Orfeo in Peri's opera Euridice and in Monteverdi's Combattimento di Tancredi e Clorinda. His repertoire includes Baroque oratorio and Mass and Passion settings, with numerous broadcasts and recordings for Italian Radio.
