Giles Davies

Giles Davies studied at the Purcell School and Royal College of Music with Norman Bailey. He has performed with Richard Hickox, the London Mozart Players and on Radio Three (Dichterliebe). As a young actor he played Puck in Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream at the Royal Opera House. Operatic rôles include Figaro (The Barber of Seville), Dr Kolenaty (The Makropoulos Case) and Schaunard (La Bohème) for Scottish Opera, and Pish-Tush and Strephon for Carl Rosa. He received national press acclaim in the title-rôle of Osborne’s The Piano Tuner. Appearing as John Goss in the film Peter Warlock, Some Little Joy, he celebrates the singer in his album Gossiana (Divine Art).
