Gaia Petrone

The italian mezzo-soprano Gaia Petrone graduated magna cum laude in singing at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome. She sang the rôle of Apollonia (Haydn’s La Canterina), Dorina (Latilla’s La finta cameriera) and Lisetta (Haydn’s Il mondo della luna) at the Teatro “A. Bonci” of Cesena while she was still a student, and was alto soloist in Vivaldi’s Gloria in D major with the Vienna Chamber Symphony at Vienna’s Musikverein, in Bach’s Mass in B Minor under Marco Berrini, and in Schütz’s Musikalische Exequien with Peter Neumann. She has won various prizes and studied early music at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague.
