Etienne Vandier studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur in Paris, winning prizes for harmony and counterpoint, and subsequently studied in Salzburg. A member of vocal groups such as Lumen de Lumine and the Ensemble Vocal Michel Piquemal, he also appears with ensembles such as Le Concert Spirituel and Le Parlement de Musique. His repertoire as a soloist ranges from the cantatas of Bach and Telemann to the Masses of Mozart and Stravinsky and oratorios of Schubert and Honegger. In addition to his performing career, Etienne Vandier is director of the Conservatoire in the French town of Torcy.
