The clarinettist Erin Svoboda has had an exciting career. Born into a musical family, she has performed extensively as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral musician throughout the United States and South America. She has appeared as soloist with orchestras in the Boston area and has performed in a chamber setting with the Daedalus String Quartet and musicians from the Boston Symphony, Cleveland Orchestra, National Symphony, Metropolitan Opera, and Cincinnati Symphony, and has worked closely with composers John Harbison and Yehudi Wyner. She has been a participant at the Marlboro Music Festival, a fellow of the Tanglewood Music Center, and a member of Tanglewood’s contemporary chamber ensemble, the New Fromm Players. Her education includes degrees from the New England Conservatory and Temple University. She has studied with Ricardo Morales, Tom Martin, and Mark Nuccio, and has worked with clarinettists Charles Neidich, Franklin Cohen, and Anthony McGill.
