Deoki Rai


Born in the region of Moscow in 1986, the young pianist Andrei Korobeinikov has already given concerts in 21 countries throughout the world, having won a total of 21 prizes in different national and international competitions, including First Prize at the Third Alexander Scriabin International Piano Competition in Moscow (2004), and Second Prize and the Audience Prize at the Second Sergey Rachmaninov International Piano Competition in Los Angeles (2005). Like Sergey Rachmaninov in 1892, Andrei Korobeinikov graduated with honours from Moscow Conservatory at the age of only nineteen in the class of Andrei Diev in June 2006. With a  J.& J. Simmonds Scholarship he is now a postgraduate student of the Royal College of Music in London in the class of Vanessa Latarche. His performances have been broadcast by Radio France, BBC (Russian Service), Radio SODRE (Uruguay), and Radio Orpheus and TV Kultura (Russia). In 2006 he made his début at the La Roque d’Anthéron Festival in France, to be followed by concerts in London in 2007 at the Royal College of Music under Vladimir Ashkenazy, at the Cadogan Hall with the London Festival Orchestra and at the Wigmore Hall, at the Les Folles Journées Festival in Nantes and in Tokyo, as well as at different festivals in Paris, San Francisco, Montpellier, Rio de Janeiro and elsewhere.
