Canadian tenor Daniel Auchincloss studied at the University of Toronto and the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. Conductors with whom he has worked include Emmanuelle Haïm, Stephen Cleobury, Diego Fasolis, Jean-Claude Malgoire, Steven Devine, Martyn Brabbins, Sir Roger Norrington, Robert Howarth, and Laurence Cummings. Operatic rôles have included Nencio in Haydn’s L’infedeltà delusa at the Musikfestspiele Potsdam Sansoucci, Secrecy in Purcell’s The Fairy Queen at the Opéra de Lille, Don Basilio / Don Curzio in Le nozze di Figaro at the Théâtre des Champs Élysées, and Don Carlos / Tacmas in Rameau’s Les Indes galantes with Boston Baroque. Recordings include Bach Cantatas with I Barocchisti (Arte), Biber’s Requiem in F with the Gabrieli Consort (DG), Britten’s Negroes with the BCMG, the Monteverdi Vespers 1610 with The King’s Consort (Hyperion), Neukomm’s Missa Solemnis with La Grande Écurie et la Chambre du Roy (K617) and The Fairy Queen with the Coro della Radio Svizzera.
