Christina Panteliduo

Born in Athens, Christina Pantelidou started musical studies at an early age at the Athens Conservatory, where she first took piano classes, followed by oboe classes with Claude Chieulet, graduating in June 1997. She has attended master classes with such eminent oboists as Paul Dombrecht, Hansjörg Schellenberger and Emanuel Abbuhl. Between 1997 and 1999 Pantelidou studied in Berlin with Hansjörg Schellenberger and in Paris with Didier Pateau. In 1995 she became a member of the Athens State Orchestra. Since then, she has worked with all Greek orchestras, including the Thessalonica Municipal Orchestra and the Orchestra of Colours. She has also participated in chamber music concerts and has appeared as a soloist with the Athens State Orchestra, giving the première performances of works by Greek composers especially written for her. In 1997, along with fellow musicians, Pantelidou co-founded the Greek woodwind quintet “TAL”, performing in Greece and abroad, also participating in recordings of works by Greek composers. In August 2000 she took part in the 29th International Meeting of I.D.R.S. (International Double Reed Society) in Buenos Aires.
