Update me on new releases by Giltburg

Boris Giltburg (b1984)

The young Israeli pianist Boris Giltburg has in the past few years attracted the attention of a growing audience worldwide:

“His virtuosity is beyond question, but it is what he does with it that makes such a difference. There is emotional power here, together with apt tonal weight, but there is also a sensitive inwardness that reveals subtle expressive facets” – Daily Telegraph, October 2013

Born in 1984 in Moscow, he began lessons with his mother at the age of five. He has lived in Tel Aviv since early childhood, where he studied with Arie Vardi.

In 2013 he won first prize at the Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels, catapulting his career to a new level. In the following months he played at the Vienna Musikverein, Leipzig Gewandhaus, London Southbank Centre, Teatro Colon Buenos Aires, Colmar Festival, and with the Seattle Symphony, London Philharmonic and St Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestras.
