The violinist Auður Hafsteinsdóttir graduated with honours from the New England Conservatory of Music, where her teachers were Dorothy DeLay, Paul Kantor, James Buswell and Louis Krasner. She received her Master’s degree while studying with Almita and Roland Vamos. An active soloist and chamber musician, she has received numerous awards. She has performed throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, Japan and China, and is a founding member of Trio Nordica and a member of the Caput Contemporary Ensemble.
