Andrey Yaroshinsky


Born in 1986, in 2009 Andrey Yaroshinsky completed his education at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatoire in Moscow with the highest honours, in the class of Vera Gornostaeva, with whom he continues postgraduate studies, and in classes with Joaquín Soriano. A laureate of many international competitions, including the Young Pianists (Athens, 1996), Carl Czerny (Prague, 1999), Emil Gilels (Ukraine, 2001) and Anton Rubinstein (Bydgosz, Poland, 2002), he has also won special prizes for the best interpretation of works by Fryderyk Chopin and Carl Czerny. In 2005 he was a finalist and diploma-winner at the International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw. In 2006 he won third prize at the José Iturbi International Piano Competition in Valencia, and in 2007 was a winner at the Sommerakademie Mozarteum Salzburg. In the same year he won the Gold diploma of the International Pianale Piano Academy in Germany. In 2008 he became a laureate of the XVI Paloma O’Shea Santander International Piano Competition. Since 2009 he has been an official Steinway Artist. In 2010 he won first prize and three special prizes (the best performance of works by Chopin, best performance of Spanish music and the best soloist with an orchestra) at the XVIIth International Premio Iturbi Piano Competition in Valencia. In 2011 he took first prize at the Second International Gabala Piano Competition in Azerbaijan.
