Alexander Jablokov studied music, specifically the David Oistrach violin method, at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow, after which he studied Chamber Music under the instruction of Andrej Shishlov of the Shostakovich Quartet. He played with the Slovak Philharmonic, after which he toured with the Travnicek String Quartet as first violinist.
Jablokov founded his own chamber orchestra, the Chamber Virtuosi and, in addition to conducting and performing with this orchestra he has also been a soloist with the Cappella Istropolitana and has recorded for Naxos.
