Alessandro Deljavan graduated at the age of 16 from the Verdi Conservatory in Milan, and in over 15 years of concert activity has won acclaim in major halls throughout Europe, in Russia, South Korea and the United States. Competition successes have included the Van Cliburn in 2009, where he was a semi-finalist and also received the John Giordano Jury Discretionary Award and, in 2010, the Isang Yun International Competition in South Korea. He has recorded works by Brahms, Busoni, Cramer, Satie, Schubert and Schumann for a number of labels. For several years he has led masterclasses in piano and chamber music in Italy and Europe, and since 2010 has been professor of piano at the ER Duni Conservatory in Matera.
