Jean-Baptiste Robin

Jean-Baptiste Robin obtained first prizes in organ as a student of Marie-Claire Alain, Olivier Latry, Louis Robilliard and Odile Bailleux. He went to the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Paris where he was awarded five First Prizes. Through a competition in 2000, at the age of 23, Jean-Baptiste Robin became holder of the prestigious title of organist of the Cathedral of Saint-Pierre in Poitiers. Professor of composition at the Conservatoire National de Région in Nantes, he has written more than twenty works. Jean-Baptiste Robin has recorded the complete organ works of Mendelssohn, as well as works by Louis Marchand, the latter receiving the highest commendation from the critics.
