Luba Orgonasova

Luba Orgonasova is a native of Bratislava where she studied voice and piano at the Conservatory and the Music Academy. The outstanding quality of her voice was quickly recognised and she was soon engaged to sing in opera and concerts all over Europe. After an invitation to sing at the Hagen Opera House in 1983, she joined that ensemble as first lyric soprano from 1984-1988 during which time she appeared in many leading parts including Violetta in "La Traviata" and Pamina in "Die Zauberflote", a role she later sang at the Vienna State Opera and recorded in 1989. She has appeared at several international festivals including, at the invitation of the late Herbert von Karajan, the Salzburg Easter Festival of 1990.
