Born in Bratislava, Luba Orgonášová studied piano and singing at the conservatory and the music academy in her hometown. She started her career in Germany, in 1988 she joined the Wiener Volksoper and subsequently debuted at the Wiener Staatsoper. In 1990 she made her Salzburg Festival début asMarzelline in Beethoven’s Fidelio conducted by Kurt Masur.
She has worked and recorded with conductors and orchestras such as Abbado, Boulez, Chailly, Gardiner, Harnoncourt, Jansons, Maazel, Muti, Nagano, Norrington, Rattle, Sawallisch, Welser-Möst, Vienna and Berlin Philharmonic, Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, London Philharmonic, Orchestra Filarmonica della Scala Milano, Orchestre National de France, among many others.
